The West End Photography Experience

Whether graduating from high school or college, the senior year is an exciting time of change that you will want to document professionally. The photo shoot itself will fly by and be fun! We book up early and have limited availability so don’t procrastinate.

Imagine if you leave your photography session feeling confident, empowered and excited. I love it when someone comes in who says they are not photogenic and hates having their picture taken and by the end they are having fun.

The result? Photos as unique as you that you will be excited about! My senior portraits look natural, not overly lit or processed, allowing you to focus on the image and not the technique. About a week after the session you can view them on a private web site. We can then meet at the studio or on zoom so I can help you place your order. At the studio or on zoom I can show how they will look on your own walls! I can help you choose the right sizes, finish and frames for your home. Popular items for seniors are metal prints and framed multiple opening matted prints.

We also have an incredible assortment of unique products including albums, frames, fine art giclee prints, canvases, and cards.

A consultation in the studio  or on zoom before hand is the perfect way to make sure we are all on the same page with color preferences, style, clothing, hair, location, props, make up, and products – are we shooting for an album or wall portrait?, etc. Also, it gives me a chance to get to know you, and for you to get to know me. What kind of images do you like – candid or more traditional? What kind of activities are you into? Are there any special locations you have in mind? We have a $500 minimum order. After the shoot, clients usually spend between $700 and $2000 on prints, books, frames, cards, digital files, etc.

Where to go for your portrait?

Urban, natural, studio or a combination? I’ve photographed in the foothills, mountains, parks, alleys, on the doorsteps of buildings, on horses, on skateboards, street corners, sports fields, clients homes, farm fields, barns, and on University campuses. With over 20 years as a photographer I know the best spots and how to avoid the crowds.  I also have the OSMP permit to photograph on open space lands in Boulder.

Senior portrait sessions

These senior sessions are for high school seniors and include the print ready retouched yearbook photo. Prints and retouched digital files are additional and can be ordered in packages or a la carte so you can order exactly what you want.

Fine Art Session: Hip Fun Expressive Unique

For the senior who loves photography. 75-100 images presented. Includes black and white and photoshop styles.

Schedule your senior session in the spring of your junior year, the summer before your senior year or the fall of your senior year.  Since the senior year is so busy I recommend doing your senior session before the school year starts.  We work with students from Northampton High School, Amherst High School, Amherst College, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire College, Smith College, UMass Amherst, Boulder High, Fairview, Niwot High School, Monarch, Longmont and many others.
