Michelle and Steven had a beautiful April wedding at Rembrandt Yard. Before the wedding we walked up to the Bitter Bar before they opened to recreate a dyptic painting, or two individual pieces that work together as one (kind of like a marriage!). On the way back we stopped at a few of my favorite downtown Boulder locations. One thing that struck me about this couple is how much they enjoy each other’s company. Once they start talking the rest of the world disappears – great for getting candid shots of them. It was a pleasure working with them and Shayna from cherry-bomb events.

CU Senior Graduation Portraits
The rain held off for a wonderful portrait session with Tailor, a graduating CU senior. Although I get to meet students from all over the country, it seems like the majority who do photo shoots for announcements are from southern California. It’s an exciting time for these impressive young college students. Good luck Tailor!
Jamie and Brian’s engagement session
After being snowed out twice, Jamie and Brian’s engagement session at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs finally became a reality. This is an absolutely magical landscape to shoot in. I was glad to have the off camera Profoto lights with me so we could keep shooting even at dusk. We had a great time spending the afternoon together and I’m very much looking forward to their wedding this summer at Chautauqua in Boulder.
A Styled Mountain Engagement Session
Amy brought many creative ideas to her engagement session in Boulder, Colorado. She brought their colorful cruiser bikes and matched her shirt color with the bike (she loves pink). She brought a fun bride and groom theater mask and a framed print of their wedding date. Adding a few props and coordinating clothing and colors adds some spontaneous fun to their engagement session and pop to their photos. We’ve designed a fantastic guest sign in book from their shoot (with a pink spine on the cover of course.)
Rosie and Tim’s Colorado Mountain Wedding
Surrounded by their grown children, their grandchildren and many friends, Rosie and Tim’s wedding at the Greenbriar in the foothills of Boulder was an inspiring event. Highlights for me were Rosie’s red wedding dress and the dance done by Tim’s daughter and brother (both professional dancers) telling the story of their courtship. It’s never to late for a second chance to find true love.
