Tove and Simen were so natural in front of the camera.  As usual, there was very little direction from me during the photo shoot.  I love the mix of portraits of the modern architecture and the natural environment.    Oh, and Simen is from Norway!  I’ll post their amazing wedding photos soon.

 

 

Thanks Ashley , the timing was just right to catch the spring colors around Boulder for their beautiful engagement photography session.  I love hiking a little to find the best mountain portrait locations.  Looking forward to their wedding this summer!

 

 

This couple from Dallas and I had a wonderful time working together at their engagement session.  We started making images in downtown Boulder and then moved into the foothills for some scenic photography backgrounds.  It was refreshing to spend some time in the mountains with people who don’t live here, lest I forget how special this place is I call home.  Stephanie is the second person this year I have photographed who sings professional opera!

 

The dramatic scenery just outside Boulder is great for engagement portraits.    Shannon and Per were adventurous rock climbers who went places I didn’t dare step foot.  The weather was cool but we still had fun exploring the mountain site and making these fun engagement photos.  I anticipated a mountain lion to come around the corner at any moment but she never did.

 

 

 

 

Tara and Bryce drove up from Colorado Springs for an engagement session around Boulder.  We did a tour of Boulder hitting some great spots at the Pearl Street mall, Boulder Creek and Chautauqua.  What I love about these photos is you can see how much fun they have with each other.  It was such a pleasure to be able to spend an afternoon with them.

 

 

 

 

60 degrees in January on a Friday gave us a chance to hike into the mountains behind Boulder for an incredible engagement session with Phil and Katie.  Weather in Boulder is ever changing, especially in the winter.  The light was beautiful at the end of the day and we enjoyed hanging out in the sun in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Rachel and David were so natural and fun together and it really shows in their engagement photos.  We had a beautiful sunny day at Chautauqua in Boulder after several days of snow just days before.  I love the black and white dreamy images.  Very artsy!

We had a great time at the engagement session.  They are such a playful  and fun couple.  It was raining lightly on and off all afternoon but that didn’t stop their warm personalities from coming through.  Mark does amazing landscape design and installation ( iammakgosbee.com) and Adrienne makes beautiful jewelry.
