Rachel and Dave’s wedding at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder

January 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

After meeting Rachel and Dave and Rachel’s parents at the engagement session, we had a wonderful relationship that made us feel so welcomed and honored to be at their wedding .  The other wedding vendors were spectacular.  Heather from Calluna Events was great to work with.  She kept us informed so we were one step ahead and ready for the next event of the day.  Shamane’s Bakeshoppe made a vegan cake that was actually good.  The wedding flowers from Sturtz and Copeland were beautiful.   I now have another top favorite band in Boulder – Groove Nation.    This couple was deeply in love and I hope the wedding photos captured this.

Amber and Dave at Pastures of Plenty Farm

September 16, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Amber and Dave’s wedding began with them seeing each other before the ceremony at a park across the street from the ceremony site where they got engaged.  You won’t see any ceremony pics since it was a quaker ceremony and we were not allowed to photograph it.  There were some really magical moments at this wedding.   Dave and Amber enjoy just being alone together and it shows in their photos.  We were in the flowers at Pastures of Plenty farm in Longmont, Colorado and the light after the rain storm was as beautiful as it gets.  Also, this was the first time I had set up a photo booth and people loved it!  Thanks to Amber’s maid of honor who brought the fun props!   Since Big Bang Catering grows a lot of the food it uses right there at the farm, it was outstanding!  The day ended with some crazy hora dancing and beautiful bon fire under the stars.

Christy and Dan

November 5, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Christy and Dan had a beautiful ceremony in their “backyard” in Boulder, Colorado.  They got so lucky with the weather – it snowed the day before and the day after their wedding.  After the ceremony we did a shoot with just Christy and Dan and their dogs around their property that was really fun.  They had a small reception the following evening at the Kitchen in Boulder.  I love the Kitchen!

Jennifer and George

November 3, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Jennifer and George had an awesome Colorado wedding. The ceremony was at St. Malo and the reception at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder, Colorado. They put together a great team which made the day flow flawlessly.  Jeremy is a fantastic make up artist who stepped in whenever they needed him for anything.  Lynn from A Brighter Day did an amazing job on the flowers both at St. Malo and the St. Julien. Chrissy Flater was the wedding coordinator who helped everyone and saved the day with her sewing kit.   Thanks for having me as your photographer guys!

Katie and John

October 27, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Despite the weather, Katie and John shone at their wedding.  The Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colorado was a great place to photograph a wedding.  The guys pink sox were a fun surprise and how great is Katie’s smile? I also liked the pocket watches John gave to his groomsmen.

Dan and Christine

September 8, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Dan and Christine had a fun rehearsal dinner at the Greenbriar Inn followed by a very classy wedding at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder. With Spice from Calluna Events helping we could totally focus on the couple and the wedding photography. A good wedding coordinator takes the stress off of everyone.  I like the lighting we created  at the St Julien with a back light bouncing off the ceiling to add some separation.  Thanks to Michael Morten for his help shooting at the St. Julien in Boulder Colorado.

Adrienne and Mark

August 26, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Adrienne and Mark got married at the Canyon House, at the base of Boulder Canyon in Boulder, Colorado.  It is a beautiful small private home by the creek that is available for fundraisers and private functions.  Adrienne and Mark are so wonderful together, and like their engagement shoot, we had a lot of fun together and got beautiful wedding images.  I felt very honored to be the wedding photographer for these two artists.  The catering was by Eat Catering and was terrific.  The Apple Valley Bluegrass Band played at the reception, along with beat innovator Bill Mitsakos.  There were a lot of compliments.

Rebecca’s bridal shoot

August 4, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Wow, what an amazing bridal shoot!  We had to take breaks for the rain showers, but that gave us some soft diffused light.  Rebecca looks so beautiful in this wedding dress in the gardens at the historic  Hover Home in Longmont, CO.

Patricia and Chris at the Denver Art Museum

July 31, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

This was such a cool wedding!  We started at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The wedding ceremony  and reception was part of the Denver Art Museum‘s Untitled Series.   After the museum closed at 5pm we headed over to Denver’s Civic Park to take some group shots.  I love the shot with Denver’s capital in the background.  Patricia had some awesome spontaneous moments like when she jumped in front of the Denver Art Museum sign.  The food at Palattes in the museum was some of the best I have had at a wedding. The clean lines and art on the walls made for some interesting backgrounds.
