One of my favorite subjects to photograph is dance, and I’ll be photographing several dancers over the next few months. Capturing their gestures at just the right moment is thrilling. I’ve also started to incorporate video and music into the still photography. I find the final multi media result is quite powerful and beautiful. India was great to work with and she is a mesmerizing dancer to watch.
Wedding Proposal!
Kyle hired me to capture his wedding proposal to his girlfriend at Chautauqua in Boulder, Colorado. She was unaware that it was coming or who I was. They were supposed to walk closer to me but she didn’t want to walk down the path toward the stranger (me!), so he popped the question where they were standing. I sprinted for a good position in the grass behind them and got a record of the big moment. She said yes. Way to go Kyle. What a gentleman!
Portrait Session on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, CO
We did this portrait session in Boulder on Flagstaff mountain. Rob had recently returned from Afghanistan, and it was an honor to get to photograph him in his military uniform. It never ceases to amaze me all the incredible photography locations so close to Boulder. A wonderful couple from Denver!

These young rock musicians had so much attitude in front of the camera. It was fun to step into the Denver urban environment for a few days for these rock musician portraits. These portraits were so cute, I had to post a few of the photos on my blog from this fun family shoot at Chautauqua. The light was harsh but thanks to an assistant and a powerful flash the lighting worked, even at 10am on a sunny colorado morning.

When my friend Julie asked me to do a photo shoot for the Wow Childrens museum‘s marketing materials in Lafayette I was very excited. It was amazing watching and photographing these children play, interact and learn at the Wow Museum.

Mary and I had the most amazing weather at Chautauqua for her senior pictures. The rain stayed just east of us creating a dramatic sky and soft light. I love the purple flowers and the matching purple dress.
